When Mr and Mrs Little (Hugh Laurie and Geena Davis) visit an
orphanage to find a brother for their son George (Jonathan
Lipnicki) they come away with a charming talking mouse called
Stuart. After initial misgivings, George and Stuart begin to get on
famously, and everything seems to be going perfectly; but unknown
to the family, the neighbourhood cats have ganged together with the
sole intention of getting rid of Stuart. Co-written by M. Night
Shyamalan ('The Sixth Sense') and featuring state-of-the-art
computer-generated effects and Michael J. Fox as the voice of
Stuart.
Loosely based on the seminal 'Gonzo' writings of Hunter S.
Thompson, this comedy stars Bill Murray as the renegade,
drug-crazed, drunken journalist 'Dr' Hunter Thompson, who decides
to cover the Super Bowl and the 1972 Presidential Election,
accompanied by his reprobate lawyer Carl Lazlo (Peter Boyle), in
his own inimitable style.
Francis Ford Coppola directs this Oscar-winning crime drama
starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. It is 1958 and Michael
Corleone (Pacino) has now fully embraced the trappings of a Mafia
boss, leading to conflict with his wife, Kay (Diane Keaton). As he
attempts to expand his crime empire, he thinks of his late father
Vito (De Niro)'s rise to power in New York during the 1920s, but
all of Michael's attempts to emulate Vito and do the best for his
family only pulls them further apart. Both a prequel and sequel to
'The Godfather' (1972), the film was nominated for eleven Oscars,
winning five awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best
Supporting Actor (De Niro).
